History
(by Lohan - Z Team Founder)

It all started in June of 2000, when Yannick Van Dam, Fabien Garcia and I (Lohan) met in Shaolin. Our desire to experience life in China and passion for martial arts allowed us to meet each other in our quest to becoming martial artists. With many similar interests, a friendship formed very quickly. After concluding our training in Shaolin, we eventually made the move to Beijing, recommencing our training in the martial arts.

In March 2003, my brother Didier came to Beijing. All together, we soon decided to produce short films to screen test our martial arts movements and fight choreography during training, allowing us to promote ourselves and our skills to land us movie roles.

In June 2003, surrounded by great friends who had an even greater potential in the martial arts, I formed the Z Team (official logos designed by Fabien Garcia, Lohan and Neal Molyneaux); the first ever foreign martial arts action team based in the birthplace of kung fu, China.

But only after the release of our first short movie Duel in April 30th 2004, the Z Team found themselves immersed with new connections and opportunities leading to the action feature film Mayhem yet to be commenced with Fabien Garcia and I (Lohan) as the two leading actors in the film. So far, Duel has had a successful outcome with over hundreds of thousands of downloads from the Internet. Over the course of the next year, we produced a couple of short films: Brothers Forever and Fantasy Story to help develop our own personal style of portraying intensity of martial arts on screen.

In August 2006, the Z Team made a partnership with a Chinese investment group to produce their most recent project, a short film The Witness. The Z Team's association with the Chinese investment group was a premiere and has opened new doors for each team member.

The Z Team now continues on expanding into professional work within the media industry.
