Synopsis: An ancient warrior must go to war to avenge his brother's death and promises his wife to return. Unfortunately victory tastes bitter when you find out that the enemy’s only reason to fight is not so different from yours.
Production Notes:
Fantasy Story was shot with a PANASONIC AG-DVX100A and a budget of about 400 (four hundred) US dollars. We wanted this movie to look as professional as possible even though we had such a tiny budget. It was filmed on location in BEIJING, CHINA. After the success of Duel, we wanted to film another martial arts confrontation between Laurent "Lohan" Buson and Fabien Garcia. This time the story was set in a fantasy ancient time and we would include swords choreography. The idea of the story was to show that people often fight against each other but in fact are fighting for the same reason and are really not so diferent from each other. The permanent crew on Fantasy Story was like on our previous movies very limited: Fumika was in charge of the make up; Fabien Garcia the director, and lead actor as well as Laurent "Lohan" Buson second main actor and Yannick Van Dam were the camera operators and were assisted by Didier Buson. Unfortunately, Fantasy Story is an incomplete short, shot partly in Febrary 2005. Due to many complications it was unfinished and will remain so.
